Smart Nonprofit Marketing Funnels
For quite a while I’d been looking for a captivating visual metaphor for marketing. Megaphones, loudspeakers, and microphones were common, and lots of the images were beautiful or funny. So were many of the photos of all kinds of signs. But they seemed to depict only broadcasting outward, not the response to the message.
Then I thought about the metaphor of the marketing funnel. I liked that better because it included the concept of attracting a response, of getting replenished.
Still, I have to confess that what really motivated me to shoot this image is that I’ve always been a sucker for colored glass. There is just something magical about the intensity and purity of the colors.
